The curriculum includes a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Assessment (MBTI), 5 core modules, and 2 coaching add-ons focused on ‘transforming self’, ‘transforming others’, and ‘transforming systems’. In addition to this, there is a one-on-one coaching sessions following each module.

1. Leading through Personality
Psychologists argue that personality type influences between 40-60% of our behaviour and yet most leaders do not understand the workings of their own personality type. Using the Myers-Briggs tool the leaders will understand how they lead, how they manage stress, how they change, how they energise, how they learn, how they make decisions, and how they innovate amongst others. They will also understand how to lead people with different personality types from theirs.
2. Values-Based Leadership
This workshop will ask and address the following questions: What are the leaders' values that he/she holds worthy for themselves? Leaders in organisations lead more effectively when they can align their personal values to those of the organisation. To unlock this power, they must be aware of their relationship with their values, yet 85% of leaders do not know what these values are. At the end of this module, the leaders will:
- Determine their top 3 values at this stage of their leadership journey
- Define conscious mindsets and behaviours to anchor their values for practical action in the world
- Consider the strategy for their leadership journey based on their values and how they align with those of their organisation.
3. Dealing with Conflict
Conflict is one of the leader’s worst nightmares. When a conflict situation arises, leaders often find themselves with limited tools to both resolve the conflict but also to use it for strategic learning. This session will help leaders better understand both the science and art of conflict and will leave them with the confidence to embrace conflict when it arrives.
4. The Neuroscience of Leadership
The human brain is central to the performance of a leader. However, many leaders are not aware of the drivers that support the brain and how they can overcome the biases of the brain.
This session will support the leader across the following dimensions:
- A report of their current brain health and performance
- An understanding of the basic drivers of the brain
- How to access creativity, problem solving and peak performance
- How to deal with biases and diversity
- How to move beyond engagement to inspiration
5. Leadership Archetypes
Authentic power and authentic leadership are about being able to respond to each leadership moment. Leaders should therefore be able to access various embodiments of leadership while honouring their unique personality in order to be effective. This session will explore the leader’s coherency through their body, emotions and language, providing them with the tools to tap into the different leadership archetypes as each leadership moment reveals itself.
6. Add-On Assessment
360 Leadership Survey
The 360 Degree Survey draws from neuroscience and leadership theory to give the leader a holistic understanding of how their employees, peers, customers and managers are experiencing the delegate's leadership approach. The survey is anonymous, and the participant has a chance to unpack the results of the feedback they have received and develop a strategy for leveraging strengths and addressing weaknesses. The first survey is to be completed by Module 3 and involves seven to ten people of varying hierarchical levels from the participant’s team. The second survey is completed 3 months after Module 6 and will also involve the same people from the participant’s team. This assessment takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes to complete.
7. Add-on Coaching
One-on-one coaching on Transforming Systems. This will be a dedicated session to help the leader strategise around some of the key issues they are dealing with in relation to the three vectors of leadership strategy: direction, execution and results. The coach will assist the leader on how to personally look at structure, implementation, rewards, performance management and other such elements in relation to the 3 vectors, turning the generic content into personal application.

About the Instructor
Rachel is a leadership and transformation specialist, a neuroscience, ontological, personality coach, a speaker, and the founder of Narachi Leadership, where she empowers leaders to unlock their courageous and authentic leadership. She believes that Africa will only get the future it deserves if leaders can access their highest courage and most authentic power.
She is a graduate of the University of Oxford and University of Cape Town, and has worked with executives and emerging leaders at the highest levels including at the UN, World Bank, McKinsey, Yale, Obama Leaders, TEDx, L’Oreal and, and of course here at TheBoardroom Africa. Rachel is a Mandela Rhodes Scholar, A Mellon Mays Fellow, a Tutu Fellow and was named one of the 100 Most Influential Young Africans of 2019.
