As of July 2022, the Index reveals a sustained growth in the prioritization of gender diversity in Egypt with the percentage of women occupying board and non-director seats increasing from 2021 and the total number of women occupying board positions increasing by 21%. Additionally, the number of EGX-listed companies with no women on board declined from 42 in July 2021 (17.7%) to 26 in July 2022 (10.9%), a notable improvement of 35.7% over the period.
